Ouray County’s land use department doesn’t have time to embark on a new master plan, Planning Director Mark Castrodale told commissioners last week.

And if the county wants to push forward with a new master plan, a moratorium on land use applications will be necessary, he said.

This request would be in addition to the moratorium the county has already had in place for more than a year on marijuana facilities.
