County OKs funding for housing nonprofit

Ouray County will give $10,000 of federal funding to the Home Trust of Ouray County for operations as the nonprofit works to grow its capacity, becoming the first local government to put financial backing behind the organization.

Founder Andrea Sokolowski approached the Board of County Commissioners, Ridgway Town Council and Ouray City Council seeking funding for the Home Trust, which is working to build affordable rental and for-sale housing in the county.
