Dear Editor:

I am a week late submitting this, but I think it’s always important. Last week was Sunshine Week. According to Wikipedia, Sunshine Week is a national initiative spearheaded by the News Leaders Association to educate the public about the importance of open government and the dangers of excessive and unnecessary secrecy. It was established in March 2005 by the American Society of News Editors.
