March 16, 1972 — A drastic change took place on Ouray’s Main Street this week, and now people will have to search for other reminders of all the yesterdays embodied in the historic Vanoli buildings. Even hardened to the fact that the vacant old boarding house, saloon and Chinese laundry were in dangerous disrepair, it was sad to see them come down.
