Ouray County, which is set to receive almost $1 million from the American Rescue Plan Act, is planning to spend the first of those dollars on a fiber infrastructure project at the Land Use facility.

At a work session last week, commissioners discussed potential projects they could fund with the $961,868 in federal money, and unanimously agreed to move forward on the fiber project as their first expenditure.
