Longtime local Lynne LaCorte passed away late Friday night, Feb. 11, due to massive heart complications. She was 70 years old and survived by her two wonderful sons, Luke and Paul. She was a devoted professional to her job as a Doctor of Occupational Therapy and Doctor of Research in Cogitative Therapy, setting the trends for occupation health and mental awareness in early childhood development. She died in her believed home of 40-plus years in Ridgway, Colorado, where she raised her children and goats to this day. She loved her home property and spent her time skiing, camping, river rafting, hiking, wrote many books on early childhood development, worked on reservations in the Shiprock, New Mexico, area helping children create fun and healthy habits, traveled around the world for the work she loved, and reconnected us to our wonderful family in Sicily. She will be dearly missed by her sons and neighbors alike while the children she devoted her life to helping send their love and prayers to her spirt in the afterlife. Lynne was a permanent and well loved fixture in the local community and will be missed by all.
