February 24, 1972 – Having the foresight to jump at the right time has saved more than one life in these mountains when a vehicle goes out of control. Monday afternoon, Dick Zanett of Ouray missed certain death by abandoning the large tandem diesel ore truck he was driving when he lost control on Jim Brown Hill south of Ouray.
