50 YEARS AGO

January 27, 1972 – There is encouraging increase in use of the Ouray Public Library, according to figures released by Librarian Jonny Jindra. Circulation figures have been steadily increasing. In 1969, 1,834 books were checked out of the library. In 1970, this figure increased to 3,528, and in 1971 the total circulation figure was 4,629. It’s nice to know people are making use of the library. Several new books have recently been purchased from the A.C. Hilander Memorial Fund....
