County approves variance for camping permit
Ouray County commissioners approved a variance allowing an Elk Meadows property owner to apply for a long-term camping permit on a lot that does not meet the county’s three-acre requirement.
Jeremy Matlock built a “camping cabin” on a 1.2-acre lot, which has received a certificate of completion but cannot receive a certificate of occupancy to qualify as a dwelling unit.
