Dear Editor:

I am 82 years of age, and until the attack on the Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, I never thought our democracy was seriously threatened. Former President Trump knew the election was fair but he did not accept losing. He has admitted, multiple times, that in essence, if you tell a lie often enough you will get a lot of people to believe it. Sadly, he is right. The polls still show that a huge majority of Republicans believe the election was rigged.
