Ouray County reports spike in COVID cases

Ouray County is reporting a spike in COVID-19 cases and a surge in testing demand, with 37 positive cases in the last 10 days.

Emergency Manager Glenn Boyd said Ouray County Public Health administered 110 tests on Monday, a record for a single day at the office.

Seventeen Ouray County residents tested positive on Dec. 27, and seven more tested positive Tuesday. Three of those cases were residents who were tested outside the county, while the other 21 were tested at Public Health.
