Letters oppose domestic sheep grazing plan
Ouray County commissioners are urging federal officials to rethink a proposed grazing plan for domestic sheep that could affect wild sheep populations.
Commissioners approved letters to the Bureau of Land Management and the U.S. Forest Service opposing a proposed decision on grazing permit renewals in certain areas where wild sheep populations are prevalent, during a meeting on Dec. 16.
