Ouray County will add four new full-time employees in 2022, in the annual budget approved unanimously by commissioners on Tuesday.

With increased projected revenues from both property and sales taxes, the county added in these new positions after debating how to spend extra funds.

County Administrator Connie Hunt estimates a $347,330 increase in property tax revenue, which equated to a 14.69% increase and a 32% increase in sales tax revenue over the amount budgeted for 2021.
