The Board of County Commissioners met with County Administrator Connie Hunt last week to discuss their goals for 2022 as well as the draft budget. The budget is scheduled to be adopted at a hearing next week on Dec. 7.

The first draft of the budget, released Oct. 5, shows 2021 projected revenues at almost $17.5 million. Requested expenses for 2022 were just over $15.8 million, but commissioners asked Hunt to be a little less conservative and open up more of the budget for some additional funding ...
