Deer, elk populations close to target levels
Deer and elk populations are within or nearing target levels in and around Ouray County, Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials told Ouray County commissioners during a recent work session.
CPW Area Wildlife Manager Rachel Sralla and Wildlife Biologist Alyssa Kircher discussed the agency’s 2022 draft Big Game Herd Management Plan with commissioners during a meeting last month. The plan can be found on CPW’s website, cpw.state.co.us, under the “Things To Do” tab.
