Voters approve Ouray library request

The Ouray Library received 71% approval for its request to sustain funding that would have been taken away, if statewide Proposition 120 passed. Proposition 120 asked voters to lower residential property taxes to 6.5% and commercial property taxes to 26.4% for two years and have the state retain $25 million in surplus funds, which would have reduced tax revenue for the library district.
