There are several proposals on the upcoming election ballot that will raise taxes if they are approved. I will be voting no on all of them and I hope I am not alone. I have owned a home in Ridgway for about 10 years and in that time my property taxes have almost doubled. I am constantly hearing how we need to address the issue of affordable housing and yet time and time again there are proposals on the ballot that are being paid for by increasing our taxes.
