A fatal accident on Owl Creek Pass last week involved a visiting photographer who died after his Jeep Wrangler drove off a 30-foot edge.

Allen Karsh, 64, was driving approximately two miles past Vista Point when his vehicle left the roadway, according to Ouray County Deputy Coroner Glenn Boyd. The initial investigation shows the accident happened the night of Sept. 30, but Karsh was not found until the following morning.
