After weeks of meetings, public hearings and staff review, the Gunnison County commissioners voted unanimously on Tuesday to amend the land use resolution, changing the review and approval process for new residential construction based on proposed home size. The home size threshold triggering a stricter level of review is now set at 5,000 square feet for the primary dwelling, plus 2,000 square feet for accessory buildings, for a total of 7,000 square feet.
