Four horses were killed in two separate accidents on Highway 550 this morning, near Cutler Creek just west of mile marker 99.

The crash happened around 5 a.m. near the turnoff for the KOA, near the Cedar Hill Cemetery, when a pickup traveling toward Ouray collided with three horses in the roadway. None of them survived.
