SMPA plans outages to upgrade system

San Miguel Power Association has two upcoming power outages planned to upgrade its system and make improvements.

The first of those outages will affect Ridgway customers, in an area centered in the downtown area. This outage is planned from 10 a.m. to noon on Sept. 28 and is anticipated to affect about 60 addresses.

The second outage is planned in Ouray in the middle of the night, from midnight to 4 a.m. on Oct. 5.
