Black Hills Energy is asking the state to allow it to increase rates for natural gas and electricity, to recover costs from Winter Storm Uri back in February.

There are two separate requests before the state Public Utilities Commission. One request would increase gas bills in Ouray County for one year, and another would increase electric rates for Ouray County customers for two years.
