The Turkey Vulture is among the most common large carnivorous birds in North America. They have an impressive wingspan of 67 inches and can be more than two feet tall, and weigh about 4 pounds. These birds are larger than their cousins, the Black Vultures, but are much smaller than the biggest New World vulture, the California Condor.
