Corbett Creek flooded at the crossing of County Road 17 on Saturday evening, closing the road for about 3 hours while crews worked to clear the road.

Ouray County Road and Bridge Superintendent Ty Barger reported to county commissioners on the repairs to the road at a meeting on Tuesday.

Barger said the event occurred when debris diverted the creek’s flow upstream from the crossing, temporarily creating a new channel.
