I would like to appeal to those businesses, churches and/or homeowners, who are adjacent to the (once) beautifully landscaped areas in the main part of town, to please consider “adopting” them and caring for them. They are very fortunate to have them to look at and enjoy, close by. Many of them are in desperate need of weeding (at a minimum).
