Ouray County commissioners held the third of a series of work sessions on Wednesday to develop comments on a draft plan for the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests. Commissioners Ben Tisdel and Jake Niece authorized Commissioner Lynn Padgett, who has a background in ecology and natural resource conservation and previously worked as the San Miguel County government affairs and natural resources director, to finish the comments and submit them ahead of the deadline this Friday.
