Ridgway’s Planning Commission voted on Tuesday to recommend the Town Council approve a preliminary plat application for a new development along the Uncompahgre River that could house more than 130 residents when complete.

Plans for the Riverfront Village planned unit development call for four commercial units and 38 residential units on the 4.29-acre lot on U.S. 550 northwest of the stoplight. The development includes a park area and concrete trail along the river.
