I would like to clarify the points I made recently concerning the use of the Canyon Creek area. I made these points at the June 1 Board of County Commissioners meeting, and they were reported in the June 17-23 issue of the Plaindealer.

Tourist use of the Canyon Creek area has increased greatly, but I think the area can support the use with a few adjustments to policies and enforcement. Two concerns are illegal camping and, to a lesser extent, flower picking.
