Most of the U.S., Colorado and in particular Ouray County are going through a housing value explosion because of the shortage of workers to build new inventory and the desire of people to live/work remotely. Each specific location has their reasons why the cost has exploded for housing but it is mainly a mix of shortage, remote working options and desirability of the location.
