City to allow RVs for workforce housing
The Ouray City Council made plans Monday to allow recreational vehicles to be used for workforce housing on private property, starting as soon as an emergency ordinance is adopted next week.
The move is intended to be a quick, short-term Band-Aid for part of the housing shortage that business owners say has made employees scarce this summer. It comes after a work session two weeks ago, where councilors discussed allowing employees to camp in the city for the summer on city-owned land.
