A Ouray man reported missing by his wife was found dead in the Uncompahgre River Wednesday evening after suffering a “significant injury” at his house, according to Ouray police.

George Saville, 56, was reported missing to the Ouray County Sheriff’s Office around 2 p.m. Wednesday. Police said he was last seen leaving his home in the 4J+1+1 RV Park around 6 a.m. Both sheriff’s deputies and Ouray police officers responded to launch a missing-person investigation.
