State ramps up wildlife area enforcement
Colorado Parks and Wildlife officials are increasing enforcement to better protect deer and elk herds in the Billy Creek State Wildlife Area between Ridgway and Colona.
Commissioners held a work session May 26 with officials from CPW to discuss updates, including moving a closure gate, at the wildlife area, which covers more than 5,000 acres off U.S. Highway 550.
