Ouray County Public Health canceled its Johnson & Johnson vaccine clinics this week after two federal agencies recommended pausing the use of the vaccine while they investigate “extremely rare” adverse effects.

Ouray County received 300 doses of the one-shot vaccines last week, which would have made a major dent in the county’s list of about 550 people who have registered and are still waiting for a vaccine.
