Ouray County Public Health Agency has received and started administering 600 doses of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine to eligible residents.

The doses of the new vaccine arrived in the county last Wednesday, shortly after the U.S. Food and Drug Administration authorized it on Feb. 27, Public Health Director Tanner Kingery said.
