The Telluride Foundation is looking elsewhere for land for its affordable housing initiative, after the Ridgway School District decided not to donate its field for the project.

The foundation had pitched the district’s baseball field on Sherman Street as home to the third phase of its initiative, which seeks to build 50 to 60 homes in Nucla, Norwood and Ridgway.
