The Ouray County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a break-in at the Cedar Hill Cemetery in which more than $2,000 in tools were stolen sometime late last month.

Michelle Nauer, chairwoman of the cemetery’s board of directors, said someone broke into the locked shop at the north end of the cemetery and stole an air compressor, a grinder multiple chain saws and several small tools.

“The entire shop was ransacked,” she said.
