A housing field of dreams in Ridgway?

The Telluride Foundation is asking the Ridgway School District and Ouray County to hand over an old baseball field in Ridgway for its new affordable housing initiative, where the foundation hopes to build a neighborhood for two dozen families.

The Rural Homes Initiative seeks to build 55 homes in Nucla, Norwood and Ridgway in the next three years, with income limits aimed at housing teachers, law enforcement officers and others who work locally but have been priced out of the housing market. The ...
