SHOT OF HOPE
After months of anticipation, Ouray County paramedics received the first COVID-19 vaccines in the county Wednesday, the first step toward a long-awaited return to normalcy.
Kim Mitchell, Ouray County Emergency Medical Services chief paramedic, was the first to be inoculated against the virus, pulling off her jacket and rolling up her sleeve to receive the shot as snow fell in the parking lot in front of the Ouray County Public Health Agency.
