The Ridgway Town Council unanimously chose Angela Ferrelli on Wednesday night to fill the seat on the council vacated by Tessa Cheek last month.

Five candidates had written letters to the town expressing interest in filling the position until April, when Cheek’s position was up for election. One of those candidates, attorney Roger Sagal, removed himself from the running after seeing the council had sufficient interest in the position, according to a letter he submitted to the town.
