Six people have indicated they’re interested in joining the Ridgway Town Council to fill the vacancy created when Tessa Cheek left her position on Nov. 30.

The council decided to advertise the opening when Cheek resigned, and whoever is chosen to fill the council seat will serve for the remainder of the term until the next election in April.
