Christmas tree permits are now available for purchase at Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests office locations, as well as at the Bureau of Land Management’s Uncompahgre Field Office in Montrose.

For U.S. Forest Service lands, permits cost $8 each, with a maximum of five tree permits per person. Permits, which are available through Dec. 31, can be purchased with cash, check or credit card at national forest office and vendor locations.
