Election draws record county turnout
The Ouray County Clerk’s office survived its fifth election of the year, amid a pandemic, election anxiety from concerned voters and record turnout.
Ouray County showed up in force for the election, casting 4,058 ballots and resulting in a 90.6 percent turnout. Clerk Michelle Nauer said she’d never seen such high participation before.
