Election receiving record turnout
With less than a week to go before the election, Ouray County voters have returned ballots in record numbers.
As of Wednesday morning, Ouray County’s elections office had received 2,814 ballots, a 64.4 percent turnout so far in the election.
County Clerk Michelle Nauer said the early turnout is unusual for the county, as she would normally expect 30-40 percent turnout at this point in the election.
