Ouray County has returned to Stage 1 fire restrictions as dry conditions persist and firefighters battle the Ice Fire to the south in neighboring San Juan County.

As of Wednesday afternoon, the fire was estimated to have burned 508 acres, and 100 fire personnel were fighting the blaze about five miles west of Silverton.
