Mail theft on Log Hill investigated

The Ouray County sheriff has received two reports of mail theft involving financial items, both located off County Road 1 on Log Hill.

Both reports involved stand-alone mailboxes on the roadside. According to Sheriff Justin Perry, postal inspectors are currently investigating two other mail theft incidents reported in Delta and Montrose counties, and it’s not clear whether these incidents in Ouray County could be connected.
