Dear Editor:

As outlandish as it may sound to some I am writing to garner support to plead with the county commissioners to close all county roads leading to the forest: County Road 5, County Road 7, Owl Creek, etc.

I can hear it now. Enraged sputtering of”lt’s my right to go in the forest!” Consider this. The unprecedented dryness and fire danger is so great your rights should be set aside. A fire now would be a catastrophe and a little bit of prevention could stop a whole lot o...
