Ouray County has recorded its second death of a resident who tested positive for COVID-19.

The 89-year-old woman died at Montrose Memorial Hospital earlier this week after testing positive for the virus. It’s unclear whether the virus caused or contributed to her death, as the information available at this time only indicates she tested positive.

This is the first death in the county related to COVID since April, when an 81-year-old man died.
