An 89-year-old woman who lived in Ouray County and tested positive for COVID-19 on Oct. 17 has reportedly died. This is the third COVID-19 related death reported in Ouray County, counting a death of a part-time resident who died in August and a resident who died in April.

At this time it’s unclear whether the woman was hospitalized prior to her death and it’s also unclear whether COVID-19 was the cause of her death or if she just tested positive for the virus prior to her death. The ...
