County records first positive virus case in 26 days

A Ouray County woman in her 40s has tested positive for COVID-19, the first confirmed case here in 26 days.

Montrose Memorial Hospital on Sept. 26, and her test came back positive for the active virus on Wednesday, Ouray County Emergency Manager Glenn Boyd said.

Of the 29 total positive cases in Ouray County, 21 are confirmed, five are probable and three are non-resident. One county resident has died from complications related to COVID-19.
