Political sign vandalism triggers ire

Ouray County Republicans placed three large political banners on Robert Frost's property at the top of County Road 1 on Saturday. By the next morning, two of them had been vandalized. Local Republicans and Democrats have both reported political signs being damaged or stolen in recent weeks to the Our ay County Sheriff's Office and the Ridgway Marshal's Office. A furniture maker by trade, Scott Carlisle mounted a flag promoting President Donald Trump inside a 3 foot by 5 foot frame. He attached it to a large piece of wood, then bracketed it with campaign signs for Trump and Republican 3rd Congressional District candidate Lauren Boebert outside his Wisteria Lane home on Log Hill Mesa.
